Orde Siblings

Dear Uncle Edgar - He was predeceased by all his siblings Floyd (Jr.), Janice, Margaret & Arnold. Great memories at Church St & Summer vacations @ the shore. So many nephews & nieces will miss him and cherish all the many fun times together at family gatherings.

I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of Uncle Edgar. He was always good to me and I loved him even though I hadn't seen him much in years. Much love to Christine, Sarah and Justin and your family.

Our sincere sympathies for your loss.

Edgar's Obituary

Edgar E. Orde, 79, born in Hartford on June 8, 1942, passed away peacefully at home on Friday April 22, 2022.  He was the son of Floyd Orde and Elizabeth (Thornton) Orde.  Ed was a 1960 graduate of Wethersfield High School and then attended Albert I. Prince Technical School for automotive machining and graduated in 1962.  He then served in the US Army for two years and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.  After being discharged from the Army Ed founded and operated Delta Engine Service in Newington, CT where he was able to work at an occupation he loved and excelled at.  Ed enjoyed many outdoor hobbies all year-round including scuba diving, fishing, hiking, and camping.  All who knew him knew he was an animal lover.  Ed loved his own animals (Sheba, Taffy, Pepper, Yogurt, Allie, and Sandy) and would always ask about how his “grandpets” (Sam, Stella, Max, Roxie, and Annie) were doing as well as stop neighbors on the street to visit with their dogs.  He lived in Wethersfield his entire life and proudly stayed in the family home until his passing.

Edgar is survived by his former wife Christine Orde; his two children: Sarah (Orde) Coderre and her husband Michael Coderre of Wethersfield, CT, and Justin Orde of Mansfield, CT; and his granddaughter Quinn Coderre of Wethersfield, CT.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at a later date.
