Not sure what to say?

Ed was one of the first contractors we met when we decided to build our home in Johnson City, he did excellent work, very dependable, friendly, and always came when we had an emergency. He was more of a friend than a contractor, his work speaks for his reputation, excellent, long lasting, and glad we were his friend and customer, but most of all friend, God bless you Ed.

Edgar's Obituary

Edgar Wayne Shaw, a resident of Blanco, TX, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Bulverde, TX, with his family at his side. Born in New Madrid, Missouri, on March 1, 1941, to Edgar and Juanita Shaw, his life was one of dedicated service and hard work.

At the age of 17, Edgar answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy, where he also earned his GED. His distinguished naval career spanned nearly 24 years, culminating in his retirement as a Master Chief Petty Officer, the highest enlisted rank in the U.S. Navy — a testament to his dedication and leadership.

Following his military service, Mr. Shaw channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into founding Hill Country Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, a business he owned and operated with pride for several decades.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Juanita Shaw; his beloved wife, Lily Shaw; his son, Edgar Wayne Shaw, Jr.; a grandson, Matthew Shaw; his sister, Doris Montgomery; and three brothers, Gary, Freddy, and Randy Shaw.

Mr. Shaw's memory will be cherished by his surviving family: his son, Roger W. Shaw, and his wife, Jackie; his daughter, Suzanne C. Shaw; his grandchildren, Roger W. Shaw, II (and his partner Star Bejarno) and Jenny N. Shaw; and his great-grandchildren, Phoenix Wayne Shaw and Ella Rose Shaw. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
