Edith Anita Hecomovich 67 years of age of Salmon, Idaho passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Salmon Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Palmer officiating. Interment in Salmon Cemetery. Edith Anita (John) Hecomovich was born October 20, 1946 in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Samuel Morgan John and Vina (Clark) John. She grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho where she attended school. While attending High School in Victoria, British Columbia, she met her future husband Sidney Earl Speakman. They were married on April 3, 1965 at Port Angeles, Washington. To this union four children were born: Sharon, Martha, Tim and Charlotte. They made their home in Phoenix, Arizona, where she raised their children. They moved to Glenns Ferry, Idaho to reconnect with her father and stepmother. She was always there for her family. She loved to be a mother and grandmother. In 1981, they moved to Wendover, Nevada, where Sidney and Edith were later divorced. Edith met Mike Hecomovich and they were married in 1998. Mike and Edith moved to Sweet, Idaho to care for her father. In 2006, they moved to Salmon, to be near family. She is survived by children: Sharon (Ruby) Salazar of Plano, Texas, Martha DiMaggio of Salmon, Idaho, Timothy Speakman of Salt Lake City, Utah and Charlotte (Nephi) Lopez of Salmon, Idaho; nine grandchildren: Joseph (Rachael) Salazar of Denver, Colorado, Joshua Salazar & Julin Salazar of Plano, Texas, Frank Belgarde III of Helena, Montana, Beth Belgarde of Salmon, Idaho, Sam (Kirsten) DiMaggio of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ben (Lucinda) DiMaggio of Salmon, Idaho, James Waylen Speakman of Lehi, Utah and Sapphira Lopez of Salmon, Idaho; three great-grandchildren: Leilani Belgarde of Salmon, Idaho, Frank Belgarde IV of Helena, Montana and David DiMaggio of Salmon, Idaho; sisters: Carol Ann, Iris, Julie, Becky, Shirley, Maryanne, Kari and Ada; brother William "Rusty"; stepchildren: Stacy (Mike) Terson of Hibbing, Minnesota and Tara (John) Hendrickson of Keewatin, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by husband Michael in 2013, parents, sister Koe, stepson Michael Hecomovich III and stepmother Ruby John.
