Marty was a good friend. We had known each other more than 40 years. Loved the man. He was a kind hearted physician, greater gastroenterologist and super leader. He made a great Santa also at Wayne County medical Society children’s party for many years thank you Santa. God bless you, your friend Kris Sawhney

Dear Judy, Clara and I heard with great sadness of Marty's passing. An untimely and unexpected happening to our dear friend and colleague. His voice will reverberate in the halls of medicine for years to come and he will be very missed by many who got to learn of his dedication, energy and endless supply of strong advocacy for patients and health care. He looked so good at the Life Members Reception in August - it was a shock when we heard it - he was such a bigger than life personality.
