Not sure what to say?

I feel in love with maternal health because of Professor Asknes. I entered her class with little confidence and left right before covid shut everything down with the most confidence i’ve ever had while on my academic journey as a single mother in my 30s. I am so thankful to have known her. Here I am, an L&D nurse all because she told me I COULD do it. She typed up a reference letter for me when all my other professors told me that they were too busy. Man What a woman. Rest in power Professor...

My deepest condolences to the family of Professor Asknes; I am deeply saddened by her lost as she was the warmest of them all, caring and dedicated to the nursing profession and her students. She believed in me when I gave up hope on my self; and if it wasn’t for her motivation I would not be a nurse today; she will be forever missed. God bless.

Please accept our warmest condolences, we are deeply sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers for Edna. May she rest in peace. Amen.

I will forever count it among my blessings in life to have meet Professor Asknes. She was an intelligent, thoughtful and knowledgeable instructor, she also had a devotion to her students that went beyond the classroom. Her kindness and sincerity was felt by all her students. She will remain my favorite professor during my interim in the BMCC Nursing program. I will never forget that she was my console and confident during my times of struggles, as I was going through a lot personally. She...

I was so saddened to hear about Edna's passing. She was such a smart, thoughtful person. I got to know her through a college wide committee on which we both served, and always enjoyed our post-meeting chats where her humor and kindness would just shine. She will be missed dearly by her colleagues and students alike. My deepest condolences to her family and community.

Edna Asknes was such a smart, and dedicated professor. She deeply impacted all her students. She was always in a good mood and helped her students understand what she was trying to teach. She was the best professor I have had so far. This is a huge loss to BMCC and to nursing as a whole. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

She was a pleasure to work with, enthusiastic and devoted to her students.

Thinking of sweet Edna every day. May she rest in eternal peace.

Dear Louie and family ,
Please accept my deepest condolences to all of you. Sending love, thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
