QUEENSBURY --- Edward J. Caparelli, 86, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 6, 2022. He passed away at Glens Falls Hospital with his beloved wife of 23 years by his side.
Born March 14, 1936, in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Joseph and Virginia (Zambito) Caparelli.
Eddie attended Erasmus High School and earned his G.E.D. and attended Westinghouse Trade School in New York City.
He loved his job at Macy’s in New York City in the shipping department, and also worked as a painter and electrician, and was just an overall handyman. Eddie had a knack for fixing things.
Throughout Eddie’s life, he could be found walking, anywhere and everywhere. He had a deep love for animals, especially his pets, and also enjoyed watching and playing sports, listening to music and playing guitar.
In addition to his parents, Eddie was predeceased by a sister, Eva Forman, and two brothers, Antonio and Frank Caparelli.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Christine Caparelli; a brother, Harold Caparelli and a nephew, Michael Caparelli, both of New York City; also cousins and friends.
A graveside ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 12 at 1 p.m. at Pine View Cemetery in Queensbury.
