Not sure what to say?

I knew Edd very well at UD. He was very intelligent. He was instrumental in anti- war, civil rights, and education reform activities on campus. Along with his seemingly inseparable friend Tom Welch they were a force of nature. Their weekly column “Ham and Edds” in the university newspaper was always witty and insightful. I am sure that there are many from those days that have warm memories about this terrific guy (who died too soon.)

I was so saddened to see the news of Ed's passing. I and my family were clients of his but I also considered him a friend. About 12 years ago I decided to change careers and went to school to get my degree in paralegal studies. I had a major assignment due and I was stumped on what I was being asked to do. Who did I call....Ed! He graciously helped me figure out what I needed to do but he would not give me the answer. I needed to figure that out on my own. Once I had it all put...

Edd and I grew-up on Laidlaw Ave in Jersey City. My wife, Kathleen Hogue, attended grade school with Edd, and considered him a dear friend. We shared many adventures and fond memories of our youth through his years a UD. We are deeply saddened to learn of his recent passing. and extend our prayers to his family. Rest in Peace, Edd.

Ed was one of my closest friends as well as a colleague. We met when working on opposite sides of an appellate case and have been friends ever since. Ed and I shared a love of the New York Times, Maureen Dowd's Op-Eds, a cold beer, and mystery novels, in addition to all things legal. He adored his twin daughters; Katie and Maggie; they brought him great joy and pride. May his memory be a blessing.

Katie and family,

My deepest condolences to you and praying your fond memories bring you comfort and strength during this difficult time. In reading his obituary, it was apparent he led a life well lived and will be missed by all he touched; what an amazing legacy he leaves behind. Sending you all love and prayers.

I have so many treasured memories with Uncle Ed- he was so fun and genuinely embraced life and treated me like an adult long before it was deserved. Sending you my love, support, and condolences.

Sending my deepest sympathies to Katie and her family. ❤

So sorry to hear the news about Ed. Was a classmate at Hudson and a member of that infamous class of “68”. Good guy through and through.
Sincere condolences to the family.

Ed was a year ahead of me at Hudson Catholic and we had many discussions concerning our favorite team, the Yankees. Rest in peace Ed, and my condolences to his wonderful family.
