Edward Diedrich Fleissner passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, with his loving wife by his side. Ed was born on January 7th, 1945, to Edward J. Fleissner and Lois Thompson Fleissner in Chicago, IL.
Ed served as a radio technician in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1970. After his honorable discharge, Ed resided in Chicago until 1984, when he moved his family to Sanger, TX, in a corporate transfer. Ed settled into the monitor manufacturing industry, eventually peaking as VP of a global monitor manufacturing company. He married Claire Holmes in 1996 and eventually settled back in Sanger, TX. Ed loved to tinker in his shop and was a Ham Radio Operator. Ed and Claire are both First United Methodist Church of Sanger members; where Ed graciously volunteered his time visiting the sick and would help whenever needed. Ed was always the life of the party and lived his life his way.
Ed is survived by his wife, Claire Holmes Fleissner; one brother, Terry Fleissner and wife, Sally of Island Lake, IL; three sons: Curt Fleissner and wife Kelli of Flower Mound, TX; Scott Fleissner and wife Rhonda of Sanger, TX, and Jeff Holmes and wife Stacy of Albuquerque, NM; one daughter: Amy Holmes Harris and husband Joe of Oregon. Three grandchildren, Nicholas Fleissner, Grace Fleissner, and Shelby Fleissner, along with two nephews, TJ and Diedrich Fleissner, and one niece, RobiLyn Fleissner, also survived him.
The Celebration of Life services are to be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please offer memorial donations to the First United Methodist Church in Sanger.
