Not sure what to say?

To the Hosty family, I am so very sorry for this huge loss. I taught Ed at St. Luke and he was what every teacher dreams of , so smart , kind and just so much fun. I have great memories of Ed that will last forever.

Condolences to the Hosty family.

My most heartfelt thoughts and prayers go to the entire Hosty family.

Ed was my brother for as long as I can remember. I have such incredible memories growing up with Ed at all our family get togethers in River Forest and the Hosty compound in Michigan (with those crazy stairs leading down to the lake!). Whether we are talking about our time together at St. Lukes, Fenwick, Wrigley Field, or the countless endeavors in the city; it was always memorable thanks to Ed's booming...

I am so sorry for your loss. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family . I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I knew Ed at Princeton. He was simply larger than life, and his boundless energy was felt and enjoyed by all. There are no words to properly express the sentiment, but I would like to share my deep condolences for all who knew and loved this great man.

I was dorm neighbours with Ed as a freshman and he immediately treated this shy awkward little Canadian like a friend. Ed’s enthusiasm was infectious and boundless. No one was more loyal and no one enjoyed life more. My sadness to learn of his passing is tempered only by joy at reading of his family. Ed is irreplaceable and I will always remember him fondly.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Ed. Thinking of you all!

Sue, Sandy and I send our prayers and condolences. May your boy RIP.
