A resident of Independence, died at 11:36 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was born November 24, 1960 in New Orleans and was 52 years of age. He worked for Coastal Insulation for many years and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and various Homebuilders' Associations. He loved fishing. Survived by wife, Patricia Rush Klein, Independence; daughter, Kayla Klein, Hammond; son, Edward J. Klein, III and wife, Mandy, Independence; step daughter, Kristen Saucier Dominick, Ponchatoula; 3 grandchildren, Mason and Madeline Dominick and Angel Howze; 5 sisters, Patricia Boyce, Williams, OR, Darlene Klein, Independence, Katherine Smith, Prairieville, Rosemary Ray, Independence and Lisa Melancon, Bush; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Edward and Rosemary Klein. Visitation at Friendship Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Services conducted by Bro. Eddie Henson. Interment Friendship Cemetery, Amite. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church.
