Edward's Obituary

Edward Frank Koraleski, 82 passed away of natural causes on June 21, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife, Oralia Mary Cassiano Garcia Koraleski. He was born on March 20, 1941, to Lawrence Koraleski and Matilda Novak in Chicago, Illinois. 

Edward was the oldest of two children. He was a building engineer, landscape architect, captain of sea vessels and he even started his own business. He was very active in the Catholic Church. He started the Knights of Columbus in Cotulla. Texas and even served as the Grand Night District Deputy and became diocesan deputy of Laredo. He was very active and loved being a Knight of Columbus. At the age of 60 he retired from his own business, Edwards Maintenance and Landscaping. The joy of his life was his family, yearly family vacations were a must. He loved his trains, and was a collector of American Flyer, ever since he was a child. Another love of his was boating and he would travel from lake Michigan to Corpus Christi.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents and his first daughter, Marilyn Marie Koraleski.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 64 years, Oralia Maria Koraleski; brother, John Barrar (Marilyn); daughters, Deborah Haunroth, Constance Blaesing (Marc) and Karen Gritis (Mike); grandchildren, Marc Lee Blaesing II, Robert Fleck (Deana), Cody Edward Josephson, Nicole Drake (Nolan), Erica Haunroth, Jessica Haunroth, Heather Gritis, Jami Blaesing, and Brandon Blaesing; great grandchildren, Jackson Ray Fleck, Emma Drake, Jett Josephson, and Logan Drake.

Pallbearers will be Robert Fleck, Tony Garcia, Esequiel Garcia, Christopher Garcia, Anthony Garcia, Austin Garcia, and Alex Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Peters Funeral Home from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at the Cotulla East Cemetery.
