Carolyn, Ed and Leigh-Anne: Many happy and enjoyable memories surround my thoughts of your dad and the whole family. Ed was always such a Great Guy , as one might express it years ago,. There was never a time when he was not receiving of friendship, kindness and joy. I always did respect him so. That same respect remains with all of you. Keep thinking of all of the happy moments and enjoy them. It will help you through the grief.

Ed and family - saddened to read about your dad's passing. He was always fun and supportive - and he and your mom tolerated all we did as teens and young adults! Glad he was here for so long! My condolences.

Edward "Pal"'s Obituary

Edward "Pal" Reilly, Jr. Dover, NH – Edward "Pal" Reilly, Jr., 86 of Dover died Tuesday September 15, 2015 at the Hyder Family Hospice House surrounded by his family. He was born November 7, 1928 in Dover the son of Edward and Lavina (Christie) Reilly, Sr., graduated from Dover High School and has resided in this area all of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post #8 of Dover. Pal was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service having worked in Dover for more than 43 years. In his retirement, he was a bus driver for the Dover School System for several years. He was a loving husband of 62 years, and cherished father and grandfather. He enjoyed being a part of his two granddaughters lives, attending various recitals, concerts and sporting events. He loved his family dearly. Members of his family include his wife of 62 years, Carolyn (McShane) Reilly of Dover; his son, Edward F. Reilly, III and his wife, Sheila of Rollinsford; his daughter, Lee-Anne Sanfacon and her husband, Louis of Rochester; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Reilly of Washington, D.C and Megan Sanfacon of Rochester; his cousin, Doug Brooks; and several nieces and nephews. A time of visiting will be held Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover. Burial will follow in St. Mary New Cemetery. If desired, memorials in his name may be made to Friends of Hyder Family Hospice House (Check payable to FHFHH) 285 County Farm Rd., Dover, NH 03820.
