Edward's Obituary

Edward P. Petersen, Sr., 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Wales.   Born May 30, 1934 in Quincy, Massachusetts to the late Earl M. and Olive E. (Pero) Petersen, Sr., Ed Moved to Lake Wales in 1991 coming from Deltona, FL.   He worked as an inspector for Eastern Airlines and served his country in the United States Coast Guard.   Ed loved to travel, loved lighthouses and sailing.     He is preceded in death by his wife Pat Petersen who passed away in 2008, and sisters Norma Malaney and Lois Loomis.   Survivors include his children:   Robert Petersen and his wife Gayla of Chattanooga, TN; Debra DePartie and her husband Bill of Palm Desert, CA; David Petersen and his wife Linda of San Diego, CA; Edward Loomis of Dallas, TX; Alan Petersen and his wife Jill of Miami, FL; Krissy Campbell and her husband Rich of Orlando, FL; and Katherine Eagle Mazzolini and her husband Michael of Chicago, IL; brothers Earl M. Petersen, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Arlington, WA; and Gene O. Petersen and his wife Bette of Santa Marie, CA. 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.   A celebration of his life will be held at the Johnson Nelson Gill Funeral Home Chapel Friday, March 24, 2017 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Denny Cothern officiating. The family will meet with friends starting at 3:30 PM.
