Not sure what to say?

Ed Ruisz was a great guy despite being a NY Giants fan.

I'll always remember Mr. Ruisz's class and the invigorating discussions he elicited from his students. Ed's contagious excitement and interest in current events helped propel me to study political science in college and made his class the highlight of many of my days.

Ed was always upbeat and engaging, and was forever admonishing me to "get with it and join the weight training program."

I got to know Ed when I started my coaching career at Palisades in 1979. We became good friends and rivals when I went to Saucon Valley in 1984. First class person and coach, very knowledgeable in athletics and training. I always enjoyed the many Army / Navy football games we went to with friends and family , playing in the Pirate Bowl games with Eddie, and over the last few years catching up on the phone about our lives . Ed made a trip to see me in Arizona many years ago, and I would stop...

RIP my brother -Coach you helped so many achieve the best they could be in all aspects of their lives. You were like no other, encouraging through hard work and sweat, offering no shortcuts to success. Thank you for what you did for Lindsay and Cody helping them experience successful HS and College careers.

God bless you, family and friends.

Respectfully ,

Coach Chuck Muller - Texas

It was my good fortune to work with Ed at Palisades High School for over a decade. His passion for both education and sports was a joy to behold. We attended Game 6 of the 1996 World Series together as our beloved Yankees won the title. Rest in peace, my friend.

I feel so blessed to have had Ed in my life. He was a brother, a father, and a best friend. He taught me countless lessons and truly helped shape me into the person I am today. His positive impact touched so many lives, and his legacy will continue to live on through everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.

As heartbreaking and devastating as it is to lose him, I find comfort in reflecting on the many memories we shared. I am honored and grateful for the time I had with him,...

Thanks for all you did for palisades

The most dynamic and professional educator I had the pleasure to work with as a colleague for over 20 years.

In Loving Memory of Mr. Ruisz
A Great Teacher, Coach, and Friend Will carry him with us, always.
Rest in peace, Coach
Your life made a difference.
Your memory is a gift.

Great teacher
