Edward's Obituary

Edward A. Savaria was an active 92-year-old and a proud Marine veteran of WWII. He passed recently ofnatural causes. He lived a full and active life--still driving to the supermarket and visiting area fleamarkets to talk and maybe buy some really cool artifact from the past. He loved to interact with people.Edward, known more affectionately as Pops, joined the Marine Corps at the young age of 16 by tellingthe service he was a year older. He fought bravely in Okinawa as part of a machine gun crew.He is survived by his wife Bunny and many wonderful children and grandchildren.Services will be held January 24th 11am at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newton, PA..A luncheon will follow at the Washington Crossing Inn nearby
