Edward's Obituary
Edward Keen Speed, Sr., 75 of Roanoke died Sunday, May 27, 2018. He was born September 14, 1942 in Clinton, TN, son of the late Thomas S. and Bonnie Bumgardener Speed. He was a truck driver with Leaseway Motor Freight. Edward was a member of Harvest Ministries Church.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Moore Speed; son, Edward Keen Speed, Jr.; daughters, Cassaundra Speed and Heather Kelley; grandchildren, Brad, Ryne Corryn, Mark and John; great grandchildren Ella, Olivia, McKinsey, Marley, Chole and Lillian; brother, Thomas James Speed.
A funeral service will be 12 noon, May 31, 2018 at Oakey’s East Chapel with Pastor Milton Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, VA with military honors by the United States Air Force. The family will be receiving friends, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Oakey’s East Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.oakeys.com.
