Edward Carson Webb II

Mr. Edward Carson Webb II, passed away Friday February 12, 2016 at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Webb was born March 6, 1943 in Fort Myers, FL to the late Edward Carson Webb and Doris Stone Webb. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served as a Deputy for the Lee County Sheriff's Office for 20 years. He moved to Taylor County in 1998 and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Huffmaster.Mr. Webb is survived by; his son, Clayton Dearstyne, of Fort Myers; 2 grandchildren, Callie and Bryce Dearstyne, both of Fort Myers; and numerous other relatives and friends.Funeral services for Mr. Webb will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday February 19, 2016 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Black officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service also at Salem Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
