Not sure what to say?

Bill's parents were our next door neighbors in Western Springs, IL where Bill grew up. My husband, Dick, was 5 years older and knew Bill as a child. I didn't meet Bill until after he was married to Jackie. Bill and Jackie lived in Michigan, but we saw them whenever they came to visit Bill's parents. Bill and I remained friends for many years after his wife passed away. We kept our relationship going during the Christmas season with our holiday letters. In my Christmas newsletter, I wrote...

Wish there were more like him.

Bill Kaiser was one of my best colleagues at Ford and a valuable member of an informal group including Jules LoRusoo and Andy Adamczyk. We were looking for the origins of unburned hydrocarbons (HC’s) in engine exhaust. The engine world thought they came from a thin layer at the wall that was too cold to burn. To do this we had machined an expensive $10,000 spherical combustion bomb and measured the unburned HC’s left after we ignited a gasoline-air mixture. Our first experiments showed less...

Bill did some research with our group at FRL that led to a better understanding of hydrocarbon emissions. We published a number of papers. He was enjoyable to work with and helped our understanding immensely. He was always available for discussion of data. Such a wonderful person in addition to his intellect. An extremely well thought of and respected individual. Cannot attend service but will always remember our interaction! My condolences to his family.

So sad to hear of Bill's passing. Bill was one of the finest people I worked with at Ford. He was smart, clever, patient and had a great sense of humor. I am grateful to have collaborated on a few of his many technical papers. My thoughts and prayers are with Bill's family and I will cherish the time I got to work with Bill. Rest in peace.

With a broken heart. We lost our amazing. Nieghbour He was very nice , quite , great full of all what he dad . I missed talking to him every day while he used to walk around the block. . Rest in peace our nice Nieghbour. You’ll be always in our minds.

Bill was one of the first people I met when I moved to Dearborn. Our spouses were very involved is local political, community, civic activity. Bill and I often accompanied them to events and gatherings. I am certain that others will have similar memories about his kindness, thoughtfulness, and being an all around "good guy." But I wish to add a little more. Bill was loyal. Bill was steadfast and appreciative of his "blessings." He had a quick mind and a dry sense of humor that always...

Bill was a quiet, gentle presence in Springwells Park. His love of nature was extraordinary and revealed itself with his Koi pond, butterfly net, and care for his Caique parrot "Sammy! Bill was a generous supporter for the trees, and Common areas in our neighborhood. I personaly enjoyed talking about any subject whenever I would mow his lawn. Gentleman Bill will be missed! God bless Elizabeth and her family.
