Edwin Donald Ghegan, of Hainesport, NJ passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017, after living a long and blessed life. He was 91 years old.
Mr. Ghegan was born in Philadelphia, PA and resided in Delran, NJ for 40 years, before moving to Hainesport in 1996. He served his country honorably in World War II, as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as an elevator mechanic, for Eastern Elevator, in Philadelphia, until his retirement in 1996.
Mr. Ghegan was preceded in death by his son, James Ghegan (Cathy). Surviving are his beloved wife, Rosemary Ghegan (nee Graziola); children. Edwin Ghegan (Theresa), Emily Smith (Robert), and Rosemary Larson (Dave); 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-granchildren.
The viewing will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel. Interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in Mr. Ghegan’s name, can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
