Edwin's Obituaries
Mr. Edwin M. Sumner, Jr., age 74, of Canton passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Heritage Hospice.
A public visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Sosebee Funeral Home. Mr. Sumner will be cremated following the visitation.
Mr. Sumner served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 33 years as an Airplane Mechanic for Lockheed Martin. He was quick witted and had a great sense of humor. Edwin enjoyed being a handyman and working on cars to make them run. He loved baseball and golf and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Sumner; siblings, Diane Brown, Linda Durham, Wallace Sumner and Brett Sumner; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
