Mother Edwina Gamble, age 88, of Mobile, Alabama, entered eternal rest on November 1, 2025. She was born on July 12, 1937, and lived a long, blessed life filled with love, faith, and service.
Mother Gamble devoted forty-four years of her life to nursing, caring for and nourishing countless lives with compassion and dedication. She poured her love, warmth, and cheerful personality into everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression of kindness and grace. She was a devoted wife to the late Henry Gamble Sr., and a faithful, long-time member of Joy Tabernacle Full Gospel Ministries, where she served in many roles — as a Deaconess, Choir Member, Sunday School Secretary, and Mission Department Leader. Her lessons were filled with wisdom, power, and anointed guidance from the Lord. On May 30, 2021, Mother Gamble was honored by her church with a plaque recognizing her many years of faithful service and dedication.
Mother Gamble leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Lawrence Gamble of Dallas, Texas; Henry Gamble Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; and Richard Tyrone Gamble (Jeanette Gamble) of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters: Gwendolyn Gamble-Seals (Clarence Seals) of Mobile, Alabama, and Pamela Williams (Sam Williams) of Orlando, Florida; ten grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and many other family members, friends, and loved ones who will continue to celebrate her life and legacy. Mother Gamble’s presence, laughter, and loving spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
