There are no words to express the sorrow I feel at the passing of your mother and my cousin.I know Lorene was her name,but she will always be sister to me.She was A wonderful person.You all will remain in my prayers.

Effie Lorene Benyo, 78, of Waverly Hall, GA died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Columbus Hospice House.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 Noon Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church 6700 GA HWY 354 Pine Mountain, GA 31822 with Father Ronnie Madden officiating. Interment will be follow at Parkhill Cemetery. A Rosary will be said 7 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 with visitation following at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.Mrs. Benyo was born July 22, 1933 in Midland, GA daughter of the late Horace T. and Goldie Wynn Cofield. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Pine Mountain, GA. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Paul Benyo.Survivors include her daughters, Angela Hightower (Roy) of Midland, GA and Marjorie Santoro (Joe) of Americus, GA, son, Stephen Benyo of Waverly Hall, GA, six grandchildren, Jennifer Santoro, Michael Santoro, Shane Hightower, Nicholas Santoro, Angela Kent and Roy Hightower, J
