Elba's Obituary

Elba Iris Concepción, age 75 of Lake Station went to join her Lord Saturday July 12, 2025, in her home with her family at her side. She was born April 18, 1950, in Humacao, Puerto Rico to the late Encarnación and Elvira (Lopez) Rivera. Elba was a self-employed seamstress. She loved sewing and caring for her family. She was a prayer warrior and an awesome woman of God.

Elba is survived by her five children, Julio Concepción, Jr. of Valparaiso, Edwardo (Nicole) Concepción of Lake Station, Zaida (Dana) Concepción of Davie, Florida, Mari Concepción of Lake Station, and Eliezer Concepción of Lake Station; eleven grandchildren, Elyssa (Michael), Jazmine (Ricky), Isaac, Ariana, Anthony, Jonarie, Eliezer, Antonio, Audriana, Annais, and Sierra; eight great grandchildren, RJ, Elexa, Evanna, Anatalia, Melaina, Ezekiel, Julian, and MJ; a sister, Doria Merced of Gary; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Heriberto Lopez and Angel Luís Lopez.

Visitation for Elba will be from 2-7 pm Thursday July 17, 2025, at the Latin Pentecostal Church of God 3950 Marquette Rd. Lake Station, IN 46405. A Prayer Service will be held at 7 PM Thursday at the Church. Additional Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Friday July 18, 2025, at the Church. Her Funeral Service will follow immediately at 11 AM. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary.
