Eleanor's Obituary

Eleanor Louise LaCarrubba, age 91, passed away on August 21, 2022, after a long illness. She was a resident of Novato, CA for the past 24 years. She was born in Middleton, NH on October 12,1930 to Charles and Louise DiPrizio, and attended school in Union and Rochester, NH. Following graduation from Spaulding High School she attended nursing school in Manchester, NH, and became a Registered Nurse in 1952. She worked as an RN at hospitals in New Jersey and New Hampshire until 1962. She married in 1963 to Emanuel "Manny" LaCarrubba, and lived with her family in Water Mill, NY, until 1984. They lived in Delray Beach, FL until Eleanor's husband's death in 1995. Eleanor was a devoted wife and mother. She was very involved with her children's education, music studies, sports and other activities. She herself was an excellent cook and also loved to read, listen to classical music, go to the beach and hike in the mountains. She was also very active in her church in Novato, CA, often attending daily mass.  She is survived by two sons, Emanuel, Jr., of Novato, CA, and Michael, of New York, NY, and their spouses, Amy and Alton, her grandson, Emanuel ("Manny"), of San Francisco, CA, 2 brothers:  Prisco N. DiPrizio of Dover, NH and Charles "Sonny" DiPrizio of Middleton, also many Nieces and Nephews.  Predeceased by her siblings:  Anthony DiPrizio, Gus DiPrizio, Alvino DiPrizio, John DiPrizio and Mary Evelyn Luongo.  Calling hours are Thursday evening from 5-7pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 10am at St. Peter's Church on Central Street in Farmington, NH.  Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Rochester, NH. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to:  Alzheimer's Research Association alzra.org. To express condolences please visit peasleefuneralhome.com
