Mr. Bone was a man with a huge personality! I had the pleasure of meeting him while working at LTV Steel, he explained to me how to navigate through the steel mill. How to enjoy my time there while staying safe. Whenever he showed up in our area it was always a pleasure to see him and talk for a while! He was a good man! May your spirit live on. I am so sorry for the loss of my dear cousin, Elihue. We had good times visiting as children. We also had fun, being in some of the same classes in high school. You will always be remembered in my heart as a kind, fun-loving and sometimes silly cousin, who always made us laugh! Rest in Peace.

Elihue's Obituary

Elihue Bone Jr., age 70, passed away at his home on Friday, December 31, 2021. He was born June 2, 1951, in Lexa, Arkansas. Elihue graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1969. He was employed at LTV Steel, and he worked in the steel industry for 32 years. He was also a member of Christ Baptist Church in Gary, IN, where he served on the Usher Board. Elihue was preceded in death by his parents Elihue & Symentha (Bell) Bone Sr.; sister Shirley (Bone) House; brothers Frank Colbert Bone, and Melvin Earl Bone. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 46 years Veronica Bone; daughter and caregiver, Elioenai Bone; sons, Albert D. Bone, Eric Bone, and Jairus Bone; sister, Zelda Marjoyce (Jerry) Wiggins, 6 grand children and 1 great-grand child; aunts, Anna Bullard, Willa Bone, and Myrtle Bell; uncle, Alexander Bell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Public viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 9am to 11am followed by service at 11:00 am. Services will be held at Christ Baptist Church, 4700 E. 7th Avenue, Gary, IN 46403. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Hobart, IN.
