It is with great love and sadness that we share the passing of Elizabeth “Jane” Brissenden on October 23, 2025.
Jane was born on March 3, 1955, to the late Raymond and Florence Drillio, and was the cherished sister of Robert Drillio. She shared 50 wonderful, joy-filled years of marriage with her husband and best friend, Todd Brissenden. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around love, laughter, and family.
Jane was the proud and devoted mom of Joel Brissenden and his wife Amy of Hanover, MA; Gail Asikis and her husband Paul of Hudson, NH; and Jill Brissenden of Danville NH; loving daughter-in-law Kerri Sheffield and son-in-law Billy Sheffield; and the adoring Nana to her twelve beloved “sunshines”: Kaylie, Erica, Julie, Frankie, and Mya Sheffield; Ella, Sadie, Jack, and Sawyer Brissenden; and Dimitri, Alyson, and Kate Asikis. Her family was truly her greatest joy, and she made sure everyone felt special and deeply loved.
Jane spent many years working in the medical field, retiring from Lund Dental Associates in November 2020. She cared deeply for the people she worked with and took great pride in helping others.
When she wasn’t working, Jane could be found surrounded by family—hosting get-togethers, cheering on her grandkids at their games and performances, or making sure each birthday was celebrated with love. She and Todd shared a love-filled life together, enjoying everything from kayaking, biking, beach trips, and dancing to the quiet joy of each other’s company.
She was also an incredibly talented quilter and cross-stitcher, creating countless beautiful pieces that her loved ones will cherish forever.
Jane and Todd built a home filled with warmth, kindness, and unconditional love. If you were lucky enough to know her, you felt that love every time you were around her.
Private arrangements have been made.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane’s memory may be made to the MGH Dementia Care Collaborative at Massachusetts General Hospital, a cause close to her family’s heart.
