ON OCTOBER 30TH, LATE EVENING, I CAME HOME FROM HELPING WITH A HALLOWEEN PARTY AT OUR
COMMUNITY CENTER HERE AT SHEPHERDS CROSSING. I SAW ALL THE CARS AT BETTY'S HOUSE. I SAID OUT LOUD, "OH NO. NOT BETTY. I COULD NOT GET MYSELF TO GO OVER TO FIND OUT WHY THE CARS WERE ALL THERE. I KNEW I WOULD BE A CRYING MESS DRESSED IN A HALLOWEEN COSTUME. Betty was an angel on earth. For 10 years of my life I had the honor to be able to call her my mother in law. She welcomed me into her family with open arms and treated me like another daughter. I will always remember her with a smile, she left a big empty hole in this earth.
