Elizabeth Lopez Dahlby, 81, of Wichita Falls passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 19, 2024.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Templo de Alabanza (Temple of Praise) 1914 Buchanan St., Wichita Falls, TX 76309 with Pastor Matt Davila, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Elizabeth was born on September 12, 1943 in Apizaco, Mexico to the late Natividad and Rosario (Gonzalez) Lopez. At the age of 18, she moved with her sisters to Port Isabel, Texas and later settled in Wichita Falls. Elizabeth met the love of her life, Charles H. Dahlby and the couple married in 1969. Charles and Elizabeth spent the next 54 years together until his passing in 2022. She raised 3 boys while working at Pond Industries before retiring to become a fulltime grandmother. Elizabeth enjoyed traveling, crocheting blankets, and spending time with her family throughout Texas. Her biggest passion in life was her love of God and her church.
Along with her husband and parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by three brothers; and one sister.
Elizabeth is survived by her children Charles E. Dahlby and wife, Alice of Vernon, Texas, Lonnie Dahlby of Wichita Falls, and Steven Dahlby and wife, Heather of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren, Breanna and Paula Dahlby of San Antonio, and Steven, Jacob and Lily Dahlby of Wichita Falls.
