Not sure what to say?

I know there are no words to describe the loss of your momma. Knowing she is with your brothers and singing in the choir hopefully will put a smile on your face.
Joni

So very sorry for your loss. May God comfort you and bring you peace at this time.

Thanks for being my mother; you battled so hard to stay with us and I am selfish to wish you could have stayed longer. I love you so much momma. Don't know what I am going to do without you. Lisa & I are broken and lost. Please visit us in our dreams.

Rest in peace

So very sorry for your loss.

Rest In Peace Liz

ELIZABETH's Obituary

Elizabeth Clement Hugo, 83, our guiding light and shining star entered God’s Divine Light on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Born to the late Paul and Anna Clement, Elizabeth loved the Lord, her family and everyone she believed in…SHE LOVED.  Blessed with a can-do spirit, Elizabeth tackled projects traditionally reserved for the “men folk.”  For such a petite person, she had a great deal of strength and fortitude.  After retiring from Bristol Myers Squibb, gardening, playing with her dogs, gospel music, and the weather channel were some of things she enjoyed.  Many the day would find Elizabeth (whose mother called her Sunshine) singing at the top of her lungs to the music of her favorite gospel singer, Sister Vestel Goodman.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; her sons, Carl Wayne, Harry Lee, and Christopher Jay DeKemper; her grandson, Robert LeeWayne DeKemper; her sisters, Dolores Lerch and Sherry Kirkland; and her brother, Jesse Clement.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Kay DeKemper of Spottsville, Kentucky, and Lisa Sunkel of Henderson, Kentucky; her sisters, Laura Mitchell of Henderson, Kentucky, Helen Clement of Greenville, Indiana, and Rhonda Root (Perry) of Polk City, Florida; her brother, James Clement (Ruth) of Corydon, Kentucky; her grandson, Jonathan Parrish of Henderson, Kentucky; many beloved nieces and nephews; and of course her protective, loving fur babies, Blossom, Brody, and Bria.

Her family will miss her bright smile, witty comebacks, and the way every perfume she wore smelled so heavenly.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice or any local Animal Rescue facility.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Chaplain Jody Hughs will officiate.

     There will be no visitation.

Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
