Katherine called to share the sad news of Liz's passing. We so enjoyed having her to the house so often as she and Katherine grew up. I cannot begin to imagine the depth of your grief. Elizabeth's Obituary

  Elizabeth “Liz” Marie Meyer, 30, of rural St. George, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka.   Liz was born in Manhattan, KS, November 14, 1986, the daughter of Doug Meyer and Melissa Meyer. She was a 2005 graduate of Rock Creek High School and earned an Associate degree in nursing from MATC in 2010. As a registered nurse she provided care to many people at Meadowlark Hills in Manhattan and Stormont-Vail in Topeka.  In December of 2016, while working full-time at Stormont-Vail, Liz received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas.   Liz will be dearly missed by her family and many friends made through her work and personal life. She enjoyed adventure and vacationing to places unexplored, and especially loved to visit her east coast family. She lived always to her fullest, and committed herself to the care of those in need.   A Celebration of Life will be held at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego on Friday, March 24. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. followed by a time of visitation for friends and family until 9:00 p.m. Her family suggests memorials to the T. Russell Reitz Animal Shelter, which may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
