I was sorry to hear of Betty's passing. It's been a long time, but I remember Betty as a genuinely nice person who always made us feel welcome when I and my friends were at your house.

Glen and I send our thoughts and prayers to you at this time. Betty was sure a wonderful person and she was a pleasure to know. I fondly remember your family and the fun times we had together. Our daughter Monica and I were planning to visit you tomorrow, but unfortunately we are unable to make the trip. So please remember that I will be with you in thoughts, and I am sending a BIG hug to each of you.

Mel: Donna and I are saddened with the death of Betty. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. I again want to thank you for being such a good friend to Mom during her 14 years alone.

Heaven has gained another angel. "Betty" will be missed by so many. She was a dear friend to me for many years. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Aunt Betty was one of the kindest, gentlest souls ever. She was a classy lady, full of life, and devoted to family. Her bright smile and personality will be missed. Good memories.

Elizabeth's Obituaries

Naples, Florida - Elizabeth (Larger) Puthoff, age 81, formerly of Fort Loramie, Ohio, passed away peacefully on the 22nd day of October, 2014 at 5:30 AM at her residence following a lengthy illness. Elizabeth ?Betty? was born in Fort Loramie, Ohio on September 28, 1933 and lived there until 1997, after which time she moved and became a full time resident of Naples, Florida. On October 16, 1952, she and Melvin R. Puthoff were married at St. Michael?s Catholic Church in Fort Loramie, Ohio. He survives with four children, Mrs. Gerald (Beverly) Weekley of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Philip (Cindra) Kane of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Deborah Puthoff of Atlanta, Georgia and Mrs. James (Linda) Barks of Orlando, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one brother Leroy Larger of Botkins, Ohio, and one sister, Marilyn (Larger) Monnin of Piqua, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Elizabeth (Arling) Larger, four sisters, Ann Deloye, Irene Larger, Catherine Davis, and Martha Phlipot, eight brothers, Urban, Arthur, Robert, Orville, Richard, Eugene, Vernon and Nelson and a grandson, Matthew Kane. Before retirement Mrs. Puthoff worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Larger Construction Company in Sidney, Ohio and Wayne Trail Tool & Die Company in Fort Loramie, Ohio. She was a 1951 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. She taught for 22 years in the Religious Education CCD Program at Saint Michaels Catholic Church in Fort Loramie and also was a Eucharistic Minister and choir member at Saint Michaels for many years. She was a life- long member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia Council #203 located in Fort Loramie. Betty was a member of the Arrowhead Golf Club, Minster, OH, Piqua Country Club, Piqua, OH, Imperial Golf Club, Naples, FL, and the Women?s Club of Naples. She served on various committees at the Piqua Country Club. She was an avid Bridge player and a reader of many books. She enjoyed communicating and/or visiting with her four daughters, her 13 grandchildren and her 6 great grandchildren. When moving from Fort Loramie to Naples in the year 1997, she became member of Saint Williams Catholic Church. She also became a member of their choir and also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster, Ohio on Wednesday, October 29th from 2 to 7 PM. and on Thursday, October 30th from 9 to 10 AM.Additional viewing will be provided for her friends and family at the Fuller Funeral Home located at 1625 Pine Ridge Road in Naples, FL on Saturday, October 25th, from 5 to 7 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 30th at 10:30 AM at St Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie, Ohio with the Rev. Steven Shoup presiding.
