Betty was the most loving, caring, generous lady you could know. I'm proud to have had her as my sister. You were always there for me and the love between us was unbreakable. Elizabeth A. Shaw (nee Hunt), of Blackwood, NJ and longtime resident of Magnolia, NJ, passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 85. She was the beloved daughter of the late Ethel (nee Smith) and Ogelbie Hunt. Elizabeth worked in the healthcare field for over 30 years. She enjoyed baking, ceramics, decorating her home, and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her devoted children William J. Shaw, Jr., (Alicia), Susan Hutter (Frank), Helen Shaw, and predeceased by Kelli Shaw, her siblings Linda Girgenti, Helen Deitz, Olgelbie Hunt (Skip), Harold Hunt (Butch), 7 grandchildren Aimee Warrington, Joseph Shaw, Carley Cieslik, Elisa Hutter, Cori Hutter, Nicholas Policella III, & Liam Shaw. She was the matriarch of the family and will be missed dearly.
Family and friends are invited to her Viewing Thursday, February 12, 2026, beginning at 9:30 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at Alloway Funeral Home 315 E. Maple Ave., Merchantville, NJ. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery, 1620 Cove Road, Pennsauken, NJ.
