I am so sorry to hear about Beth. She was such a vibrant force before her tragic car wreck. And afterwards she tried so hard to recover and achieve a normal life. I remember helping her relearn the multiplication tables! Before I got married and moved away, I used to get Beth and take her out and about. By the time I moved back, she was past that.
