Ell's Obituary

Ell Edward Falls, 84, of Reedy, died Saturday, March 7, 2026, at home.

He was born February 11, 1942, at Newton, the son of the late Ell and Rosa Runnion Falls.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita J. Buchanan Falls; five brothers and four sisters.

Ell retired from the W.V. Department of Highways as an equipment operator and he was a farmer.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Hope and Ben Sharps and his grandson, Kaden Sharps, all of Ripley; sisters, Rosalee Falls, Nina Mae Falls, Audrey Falls and Nancy Falls all of Ivydale; brother, Harold Falls of Gandeeville; several nieces and nephews.

The family extends a special thank you to Adoration Hospice, Parkersburg and caregivers, Telina Samples and Edna Carpenter for their excellent care of Ell.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14 at Slate Cemetery, Spencer, with Pastor Clark Samples officiating.

John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is assisting the family with arrangements.
