Elvin's Obituary

Elvin Neal Sparks, 74, of Pampa, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Viewing will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Perryton, Texas.  Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, officiated by Chris Keller.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Mr. Sparks was born on January 5, 1951 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Elvin Sparks and Wilma Dean Sands Sparks.  He married his wife, Robbie Workman Sparks, on February 18, 1983 in Beaver, Oklahoma.  He served in the military in the Army Reserves.  He worked in the petroleum industry as a technician.  He lived in Pampa, Texas most of his life, and he spent the last six years traveling the world.

Mr. Sparks is survived by his wife, Robbie; one son, Bobby Neal Sparks and wife Sammie; one daughter, Rachel Shaffer and husband Jason; four grandsons, Noah Neal Shaffer, Anthony Sparks, Chris Boren, and Brandon Carrol; two granddaughters, Jai Shaffer, and Shelby Jenkins; one sister, Penny Parten; two brothers, Glenn Seal and Danny Sparks; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Tami Sparks.

The family requests memorials be to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675, or other veteran’s charity of choice.
