Elvis's Obituary

FULTON -  Elvis O. Mayhall, 87, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS, surrounded by his loving family. Born November 24, 1938, in Golden, MS, to Dewey and Nadine Mayhall, he was the youngest of five children. A graduate of Tremont High School, he married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Ann Brewer, on April 11, 1959. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home in Dorsey, MS, where they raised two children, Elvis Keith Mayhall and Rhonda Lynn Mayhall. Family was always at the heart of his life, and he took great pride in his family.

Elvis’s career included roles at Wisconsin Envelope in Zion, IL, Tupelo Coca Cola Bottling Co., Pennsylvania Tire Co., and Tecumseh, where he retired as shipping/receiving supervisor. He enjoyed gardening, western films/shows, and most of all, cherished time spent with his family.  His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, at McNeece-Morris Chapel in Fulton with his nephews Tommie Mayhall and Matt Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Butler Cemetery in Golden, MS. Arrangements are entrusted to McNeece-Morris. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time.

Survivors include his son, Keith Mayhall (Kim); daughter, Rhonda Mayhall Sinclair (Christopher); brother Charles Mayhall; brother-in-law Tommy Brewer; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Ann Brewer Mayhall; his parents; sister Dorothy May Cleveland; brothers William Ray Mayhall and James Mayhall; stepbrothers Melvin Rogers and Marvin Rogers; and stepsister Mary Catherine Roberts.

Pallbearers are Bobby Cleveland, Roy Cleveland, Dale Taylor, Jerry Taylor, Bobby Taylor, and special friend Greg Conwill.
