Hey Da´ as you can see I´ve entered the grandparent phase in life.. never thought you wouldn´t be here to experience this with me.. I´m still heart broken and miss you dearly .. I visited your grave a last week and still can´t believe you´re gone although my dreams say otherwise you´ll forever live in my heart. Here´s a pic of your Great Grandson M´Kai Delaj he knows all about you.. me and Shai miss you dearly, our hero Emanuel Bland Jr.

Emanuel Bland, Jr. a retired Diesel Mechanic for Reginal Transit Authority (RTA) and resident of New Orleans departed this life on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Ochsner Medical Center. He was 59. He was loved and cherished by his only daughter, Deshea G. Devezin; sons, Desmond Devezin and Earl Anderson all of New Orleans, LA.; a granddaughter, Shai Devezin; a grandson, Jarvin Monette all of New Orleans, LA; Five sisters, Cynthia Bland of Baton Rouge, LA Linda (Reginald) Mack of Renton, Wash., Gwendolyn Bland of Temple, TX, Shannon Bland of Houston, TX and L.Yaisa (Andrew) Wilson, New Orleans, LA. Five aunts, the Rev. Mary B. Banks of New Orleans, LA, Dorothy B. Carradine of Tallulah, LA, Adena B. Brown of Chicago, IL, Willie Mae Woods of Shreveport, LA and Vera Bland of San Francisco, CA; one uncle, Lewis (Carroll) Bland of Jacksonville, Fla; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel Bland, Sr. and Delores Dixon Bland, and three aunts, Thelma B. Rankin, Elouise B. Cayette and Irma B. Foster. A Visitation will be held at Majestic Mortuary Services, 1833 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The Religious Service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00am at Beulah Baptist Church, 2921 Fourth St, New Orleans.
