So very sorry about losing Emily. We graduated high school together. We always had a fun time at our reunions! I know family and friends will miss Emily terribly! Keep those memories close!

Emily Evonne Miller, age 80 of Warsaw, IN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday evening, January 5, 2026. Emily was born on March 15, 1945 in Brazil, IN to Frank and Lucille (Stough) Minnick. Emily grew up in the Brazil, IN area and was a 1963 Brazil High School graduate. She went on to get her LPN certification through Ivy Tech. Mrs. Miller moved to the Nappanee area in 1965 and lived there until 1998. She then moved to Muncie, before settling in Warsaw. In 2002 Emily married Jim Syphers. He preceded her in death in 2007. She then married Ronnie Miller in 2012. and he preceded her in death in 2016. Emily has attended the Church of the Nazarene her whole life, most recently attending Warsaw New Harvest Church of the Nazarene. She will be remembered as a funny lady. She could always make friends and family laugh. She never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. Her “Emie Lou” skits are fondly remembered by those who were lucky enough to see them. Above all, she loved her family and especially cherished her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially enjoyed hanging out with her great grandson Jacob. Emily is survived by her 3 children: Jeanette Nissley of Warsaw, IN, Rick (Trina) Nissley of Wakarusa, and Steven Nissley of Plymouth; daughter-in-law, Kelly Nissley of Warsaw; 13 grandchildren: Jeff Borton of Warsaw, IN, Gary (Noyemi) Tyr of Spokane, WA, Angel Tann of VanBuren, AR, Heather Rensberger of Warsaw, IN, Hannah Barton of Warsaw, Lacey Nissley of Huntington, IN, Gracie Nissley of Warsaw, IN, Chase Nissley of Plymouth, IN, Blaine Nissley of Warsaw, IN, Taryn Nissley of Wakarusa, Chelsea and Andrew Browning of MI, and Dallas Comer of Anderson, IN; 9 great grandchildren: Jenna Gibbs, Valerie Tyr, Jaxson Gibbs, Jacob Nissley, Mya Redden, Hudson Barton, Jaycee Snyder, Abby Gregory, and Zaden Gregory. Emily was preceded in death by her parents; 3 grandchildren: Haily Nissley, Stevon Jacob Nissley and Brandon Nissley; half-sister, Hazel Gwen; and half-brothers, Bill and Frank Minnick. Visitation will be held from 10 am – Noon on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, IN. A funeral service will begin at Noon with Pastor Bill Keen of Woodland Bible Church, Connersville, IN will officiate and burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
