SWERDAN, Emily “Dolly” -Of Linden, age 86, died Friday, January 19, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Visitation 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the family.
Visitation 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Dolly was born in Flint, Michigan on July 29, 1931, the daughter of Alexander and Julia (Podpora) Kovacs.
She liked to read her Daily Word, watch tv shows, was active with VFW and AMVETS. She also loved spending time with her family and she loved to fly.
Surviving are children, Stan (Faye) Bell, Linda Bell, Larry (Deb) Bell and Joe (Pam) Bell;
7 grandchildren, Laurie, Cathy, Sheila, Kate, Susannah, Mary and Emily;
7 great-grandchildren, Becky, Loki, Luke, Julia, Clara, Alex and Ford;
twin brother, Emil Kovacs and sister, Alvira Vechell.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Bell, William Pete Swerdan; brothers and sisters, Julia, Mary, John, Elek, Joe and Gabe.
