Emma Louise (Litten) Milliken went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. She was born to Orville Litten and Emma Olive Rogers on October 16, 1931, in Cadiz, Ohio. Louise graduated from Flushing High School.
On Christmas Day in 1955, Louise married the love of her life, Jerry Milliken, a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. They and their four children lived in several states including Texas, Nevada and Hawaii to name a few. They moved back home to Ohio in 1974 when Jerry retired. Louise worked as a change girl in the Nevada casinos, in nurseries for children in Reno, she was a phone operator in Cadiz, Ohio, she weighed coal trucks and worked at Binns grocery store in Flushing, Ohio.
Louise had a love for cooking, baking, and keeping a tidy home. She always had a big sweet tooth and never went without dessert after dinner usually serving it and asking, "you want a scoop of ice cream with it?". The only time you would see Louise sitting was while watching her soap opera stories every afternoon. You'd find her on the edge of the couch, transported to another world. She also loved to dance and enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars and figure skating. When they both retired, she and Jerry enjoyed traveling and took as many trips as possible. They visited Morocco, Mackinac Island, Leadville, Colorado and went back to visit Hawaii. She was also a member of the Flushing Senior Center.
More than anything else Louise loved her family and spending time with them. She greeted everyone at the door with several tight hugs and "I love ya sweetie." She loved doting on her children and grandchildren, always reminding them how much she loved them. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Ed) Maciejczyk and Brenda (Craig) Mathias, her son Mark Milliken, grandchildren, April (James) Caudill, Shelby (Scott) Sparks, Garrett (Hannah) Mathias, Kyle (Mickey) Milliken and Jessi Milliken, as well as 12 great grandchildren and one more on the way.
In addition to her parents Louise is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jerry Eugene Milliken, daughter Cynthia Salyer, brother, Jack Litten, sister Evelyn Jean Warner and grandson Brian Salyer.
At her request, there will be no funeral services at this time.
