Sara, I was so sorry to hear about Emmett. I used to love listening to him talk about the good ole days working for my father and he always made me smile. May you have comfort in the time you guys spent together before, during and after your retirement. He was a really good person and has and will be missed. Our deepest sympathies.

Perry, GeorgiaEmmett Paul Carr, Jr. passed away at his residence on February 25, 2011 with his loving wife by his side, after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held at 2;00 p.m., Tuesday in the chapel of Watson- Hunt Funeral Home with burial in Perry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Carr was born in Pulaski County to Emmett Paul Carr, Sr.and Virginia Vaughn Carr and graduated from Hawkinsville High School. After serving in the Army three years, he went to work at Robins Air Force Base as a civilian and retired after 30 years of service. Mr. Carr was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church in Hawkinsville. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Harry Carr. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sara Williamson Carr, his sister, Jean Chesnut (Don) of Greensboro, Georgia and several nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted or donations made to Heart of Georgia Hospice. Condolences may be left for the family in the online guestbook at watson
