I was deeply saddened to learn of Erica’s passing. She was a meaningful part of my professional journey and inspired me to become an NCCPA Ambassador.
Erica created space for important conversations about diversity, culture, and race in medicine, always leading with dignity and grace. I will always cherish our shared admiration for Frida Kahlo and the reminder to live and lead with authenticity.

My condolences to the family of Erica Evans. I didn’t really know Erica but I met her mom, sister and grandparents at Houston Methodist. I just can’t imagine how you feel cause she was young. Gone too soon. Erica was a colleague of mine at the NCCPA in Atlanta. She was beautiful inside and out. We had many wonderful conversations and she was always kind to me.
