Erma Lee Stepter

Erma Lee Stepter was born on February 2, 1939, in Liberty, Mississippi to the union of the late Jethro and Carrie Stepter.

By the Providential Hand of Almighty God, on Friday February 20, 2026, and Angel was dispatched to Sister Stepter’s bedside, with instructions to serve final summons on His child – one Erma Lee Stepter. “Servant of God, Well Done!” She  Left to cherish her legacy in Life’s Book of Memories is an endearing sister Mary S. Williams: threespecial god-daughters Terri Stepter, Keeyon Harris and Laray Robinson: two sisters-in-law, Rebecca and Margarite Stepter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents and eleven sisters and brothers: Jessie Mae Allen, Herman Turner, Nathaniel Chander, Ruth Nash, Vertis Caldwell, Artee, Arlanda, Julious, George, Roosevelt and Ardell Stepter.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at St. James Ministries Church of God in Christ, located at 3404 Andover Street, Jefferson, Louisiana. Visitation: 10:00 AM, Service: 11:00 AM Interment will follow at Garden of Memories, 4909 Airline Drive, Metairie.
