Ethel Marie McCreedy

I knew Ethel when she was the school secretary at Van Buren Elementary. My wife Carolyn always enjoyed Ethel when she taught at Harrison. She always had a smile for me and was tremendous help to me in many ways. I knew her daughter Janet also and know what a joy she was to Ethel and all of us. I would like to extend my sympathy to the family. She will never be forgotten.

I worked with Ethel for many years when we were both at Harrison Elementary. She had a difficult job, as she was the first one to deal with parents and students, along with handling the myriad details of running a big school. She did all of that with grace and efficiency and kept her good humor to give staff a positive word when we needed one. She was an extraordinary woman. I was privileged to know her.
