Eugene's Obituary

Eugene F. Kolowitz, 80 of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. Born on June 22, 1943 in Allentown, he was a son of the late William and Emma (Sagl) Kolowitz. Eugene was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army. Eugene was employed as a production line worker at Mack Trucks for over 40 years. He was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church in Northampton. Eugene was also a member of the Knights of Columbus 528, Allentown and UAW. He enjoyed bowling at the Hungarian Hall in Northampton and St. Francis Club in Allentown.

Survivors: Eugene is survived by his sister-in-law, Louise Kolowitz and several nieces and nephews. Brothers, William, Richard and Thomas preceded Eugene in death.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 1st at 10:00 a.m. in the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call on Saturday, from 8:45 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church in loving memory of Eugene. Online condolences may be offered below.
