Eugene passed away Friday evening, February 16, 2018 at his residence at the age of 68 years. Eugene was born in Bay City on October 7, 1949 to the late Elmer and Loretta (VanOchten) Stagray and was a resident of Bay City. On October 20, 1973 he married the former Audrey Menzel, she preceded him in death on May 30, 2013. Eugene worked and retired in February of 2013 from Hemlock Semiconductor. He attended church at St. Paul Lutheran church of Frankenlust and enjoyed going to car shows.
Eugene is survived by his children, David (Ayron) Stagray and Karen (Eric) Lemmer; grandchildren, Sam and Olivia Stagray and Lucy Lowis; brother Duane (Mary Jane) Stagray; nephew, Mark (Stephanie) Stagray and niece Sara (Matt) Weidner.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis W. Matyas. Per Eugene’s wishes cremation will take place following the service with private inurnment in the church cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
