Evangelist Vergie Mae Adams Butler

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Evangelist Vergie Mae Adams Butler, formerly of Moncks Corner, SC, who transitioned on Monday, September 22, 2025. She was the widow of Mr. Marshall Vernon Butler.

Evangelist Butler was a woman of deep faith and touched the lives of many.

Her legacy lives on through her children: Brandy Butler Daniels (Leonard), Tyrone Adams (Samantha) and Verna Butler Works (Edward Sr.); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, John Henry Adams, Jr., Ernest Adams (Eva Mae), Owen Adams, Silas Adams, Clarence Adams (Isabell), Sadie McKelvey (Michael) and Evangelist Reatha Limehouse (Al); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at O. Allen Gethers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery, 1010 Cooper Store Road, Moncks Corner, SC.

The family will be receiving friends at the residence of her brother, Mr. Silas Adams.
