My mom was always my hero. She was born in Lancaster NY, she was the 6th of 10 children. Her father was a machinist and did many odd jobs. Her mom was loving and died young, Evie was 14 years old when her mother passed. She was surrounded by loving family. She had adventures with her best friend Joan and worked in Rochester NY. Then she returned home to Lancaster, marring my dad. She worked for a while, then had to stop when she was expecting.

She had five children. After...

Although I never met Ms. Evelyn, I felt that i knew her as I was acquainted through a colleague, her son Phil. Phil spoke of her very often and always shared fun stories of his childhood growing up and how much he loved and cared for his "Ma" and talks about his trips to her home and later the nursing home. Phil...remember that "Ma" as you so loving referred to her as will always be with you in spirit and in your many memories! May the peace of God that passes all understanding...
