Mrs. Evonne Callicott, age 73, of Osceola, passed from this life Thursday, September 14, 2023, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born January 22, 1950, to the late A.C. Henderson and Pauline Johnson in Osceola, Arkansas. Evonne was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Evonne was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Callicott, the father who raised her, Johnny Moore Sr., and one son, Kenneth Callicott.
Survivors include one son: Jesse Jackson of Osceola, AR one daughter: Summer (Dion) Callicott Moore, of Osceola, AR; two brothers: Johnny Moore Jr. and Brian Moore, both of Jonesboro, AR; six sisters: Louise Richmond and Angela Walker, both of Jonesboro, AR, Blon-Eva Sanders, of Saginaw, MI, Jewell Moore, of Gosnell, AR, and Shirley Nathan and Linda Allen, both of Stafford, VA.; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home, 1323 W. Keiser Ave., Osceola, AR with Elder Johnny Moore officiating. The burial will follow in Whiteside Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Saturday morning from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home. All services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola.
