I Remember Junior growing up on central street in pontiac. He was a great guy. He Was fun to talk too and be around. Rest Easy Junior.

Mr Roger’s was a very nice man always hard working. He will be missed.

My dearest uncle who always greeted us all with huge smile and jovial spirit. You will be dearly missed. We love you and you hold a special place in all our hearts forever. Excell's Obituary

Excell Rodgers, Jr., was born on July 17, 1946 to the late Excell Rodgers, Sr., and Rosie Mason Rodgers in Hazelhurst, MS.  He passed away on September 30, 2024, at Trinity Health Hospital, Pontiac, MI.  He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Deloris Cullins Rodgers, brother; L.E. Rodges, sister-in-law; Minnie Rodges, and nephew; Larry Rodges.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his twin daughters; Denise Rodgers of Canton, MS and Genise Rodgers of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren; Nishida Rodgers Lindsey, Rushion, Rodnesia, Marica, Sierra, Eboni, Egypt, Jasmene, Montez, Janae, Jaron, Malik, and Myauna, 16 great-grandchildren, siblings; Geneva Rawls Broner, Ann Arnett, Geraldine (Walter) Tucker of Pontiac, MI., Darrell (Melita) Myles, Victor (Angela) Myles, Anttenette Myles of Los Angeles, CA, close friends; McArthur Long, John O'Neal Herron, Doris Coleman, Bobby McHaney, and the late Pastor James Keys.  Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Mr. Rodgers will lie in repose on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, MI., from 12:00pm-6:00pm.

Celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 394 Howland Ave, Pontiac, MI.  Family hour begins at 11:30am and the service will immediately start at 12:00pm.  Pastor W.R. Ginyard, Jr., officiating.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, MI.
